FAQs

Do I need a referral from my doctor to schedule an appointment?

No, Illinois is considered a direct access state - this means you can obtain physical therapy services without a referral from your physician for up to 15 business days. However, we may need to obtain a referral from your physician, depending on your insurance. If you do have a referral, please bring it to your first appointment.

What will happen in my first visit?

During your initial physical therapy appointment, you will sit down with your physical therapist and discuss the symptoms you are experiencing in a detailed history as your therapist gets to know you and how your symptoms are impacting your life. Next, your therapist may complete portions of an examination, including both external and possibly internal exam components. If you decline to participate in an internal examination, we can still help you!

Your provider will then provide exercises and education for you to complete at home. They will also discuss your plan of care, how often you will return to the clinic, and expected outcomes with physical therapy treatment.

Do you take my insurance?

We accept the following insurances:

Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS Medicare Advantage, Blue Choice, BCBS PPO)

HealthLink

Medicare

We are in process of becoming in network with other payers. Please reach out if you have questions about your insurance.

If your insurance is not listed, we can still see you! Please inquire about our out of network treatment options.

What is your cancellation or no show policy?

We require a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations. If an appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours before the appointment time, you will be charged a $25 cancellation fee. If you do not show up for your appointment and do not give notice, you will also be subject to the $25 cancellation fee.

What should I wear to pelvic health physical therapy?

You can wear anything you are comfortable in and you feel that you can move in!
